Following the informative actions, towards the research and academic community for the significant aspects related in Open Science, organize a webinar for a platform of Open Research Europe with the collaboration of the Scientific Communication Unit of SEAB. 

This webinar is about to inform and present Open Research Europe, a platform for the scientific publications of open access which is developed for the needs of research’s projects by the European Commission. Aiming the understanding of the model and the manners in which this platform can be used and utilized by researchers.

Short CV:

Victoria Tsoukala works as a Policy Officer in the European Commission, DG RTD unit on Open Science in Secondment from her position at the National Documentation Centre  in Athens Greece. In DG RTD she works on open access and open science policies in the context of H2020 and Horizon Europe.

She holds a PhD (2004) and MA (1999) in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology from Bryn Mawr College, PA, USA; a BA in History and Archaeology at Aristotle University (1995) , Thessaloniki, Greece; a BMus in Piano (1996) from the Conservatory of Northern Greece, Thessaloniki, Greece.

Her permanent position is with the National Documentation Centre/National Hellenic Foundation, where she has worked since 2009 on institutional infrastructures in scholarly communication for open science, as well as open access and open science policy. She has participated in and/or coordinated numerous EU-funded projects on the topic of open access policies and infrastructures.  She publishes in scholarly communications, open access and research policy, and archaeology.
